Warranty Policy

Every Lewis Glass installation is backed by a workmanship warranty, and the materials we install carry their own manufacturer warranties. This page lays out exactly what's covered, for how long, what falls outside coverage, and how to make a claim.

01

Materials warranty

All materials (glass, hardware, seals, and components) carry the original manufacturer's warranty. Warranty terms, duration, and claim procedures vary by manufacturer and product. Lewis Glass will assist customers with manufacturer warranty claims when needed.

02

Workmanship warranty

1-year full coverage

Full workmanship coverage for the first year.

For 1 year from the date of installation, Lewis Glass warrants all workmanship associated with your project. This covers any installation-related issue, including:

  • Door adjustments (hinge compression, alignment, swing)
  • Silicone repairs or touch-ups
  • Hardware adjustments or repositioning
  • Panel alignment corrections
  • Any other issue resulting from how the work was installed

If something isn't right within the first year, we'll fix it at no charge.

Lifetime limited coverage

Lifetime coverage on the structural install.

After the 1-year full coverage period, Lewis Glass warrants the structural integrity of our installations for the lifetime of the original installation. This covers defects in how materials were installed, specifically:

  • Glass panels that fail due to improper mounting or anchoring
  • Hardware that pulls from the wall due to incorrect fastening
  • Channels or tracks installed out of plumb or level, causing functional failure
  • Any structural installation failure traceable to our work

If our installation was done wrong and it causes a failure, we'll make it right regardless of when it happens.

03

What's not covered

This warranty does not cover:

  • Silicone maintenance. Silicone caulking is a consumable material that degrades over time. Reapplication is normal shower maintenance, typically needed every 3 to 5 years depending on tile type and use. This applies after the 1-year full coverage period.
  • Door adjustments from structural settling. Homes shift over time. Door adjustments needed due to structural movement after the 1-year full coverage period are not installation defects.
  • Normal wear on hardware. Rollers, seals, sweeps, and gaskets wear with regular use and are not covered after the 1-year period.
  • Damage from misuse, abuse, or neglect. Impacts, excessive force, failure to maintain, or use outside of normal residential conditions.
  • Modifications or repairs by others. Any work performed on Lewis Glass installations by anyone other than Lewis Glass voids coverage on the affected components.
  • Pre-existing structural conditions. Issues with the customer's walls, floors, framing, or substrate that affect the installation are not installation defects.
  • Acts of God. Damage caused by natural disasters, severe weather, or events outside normal conditions.
